In preparation for my upcoming album, and since today’s my birthday, I’m releasing a six-song live EP for free! (What?! Giving away stuff on your birthday?!) Cool, huh?
This is a recording from a show I played down in Bowling Green, Kentucky at Spencer’s Coffee House. If you are ever passing through Bowling Green on I-65, do yourself a favor and stop by Spencer’s. It’s the coolest little coffee shop, right on the downtown square.
All six songs will be featured on the upcoming album, along with several more, so please be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed to stay updated as the album progresses.
In the meantime, please enjoy the live EP!
All I need you to do is enter your email address below. I’ll send you an email with download code and link.
By entering your email address, you’ll receive the download information as well as occasional updates from me.

For those of you who know me, you know a couple of things:
- I like to make music.
- I’m pretty good at making music.
- I’m pretty bad at making that music available for people to actually hear.
JoeGilderMusic.com is a big step forward for me. Just recently I had a number of people ask for either a CD or mp3 download of my music. The last CD I made was six years ago. Six years.
Around two years ago I came out of a long dry spell of writing hardly any music. I finally started writing songs again and even performing here and there. I eventually started a songwriting podcast last summer. I have since somewhat abandoned the podcast, realizing it wasn’t the best way to distribute music…and I don’t feel like renewing my MobileMe subscription, either.
So here we are. Do I think my music is amazing and will change the world? Nope. I don’t even think of myself as a phenomenal musician, but I do have some gifts and talents, and I’m realizing that I’ve been keeping them to myself. For some strange reason, people genuinely want to listen to my music. This website is for you folks.
First Order of Business
I’m still piecing together all the details, but be on the lookout for a free live recording soon. It’s from a show I played down in good ‘ol Bowling Green, Kentucky. I’ll be making it available here as soon as it’s ready.
That’s all for now. Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed. If you use a feed reader like Google Reader, you can get immediate updates every time I post something new here. If you’re not hip to RSS, click on the RSS link anyway, there’s an option there where you can choose to receive email updates every time I update the site. Thanks for visiting!
